Supported Employment for People Living with Severe Mental Illness

People living with a severe mental illness suffer from social and vocational dysfunction due to the illness. Therefore, employment rate of those people is low. It has been determined by studies that being involved in working life contributes to the recovery processes of individuals and supports their re-participation in society. There are many different vocational rehabilitation services developed for the participation of people to working life. One of them, supported employment, is the subject of this study. It is known that supported employment facilitates people's participation in working life and increases the duration of their stay at work. In this study, supported employment services for people living with serious mental illness will be evaluated.
