Encouraging environmentally friendly practices in various contexts (e.g., home, workplace) is becoming increasingly important as the negative effects of human-induced climate change and environmental degradation are more closely observed. In this study, it was aimed to examine the predictors of on-campus pro-environmental behaviors and well-being outcomes of these behaviors among undergraduate students (N = 520) studying at two public universities in Türkiye (Middle East Technical University and Selçuk University). Our findings show that universalism value and university identification positively predicted on-campus pro-environmental behaviors and engaging in these behaviors contributed to positive affect. This study fills various gaps in the existing literature (e.g., the role of university identification on on-campus pro-environmental behaviors, the relationship between on-campus pro-environmental behaviors and psychological well-being) and has important implications for campus sustainability (e.g., the importance of campus atmosphere for campus sustainability).
