In this study, we describe how the phenomenon of platformization in the music industry in Turkey is understood by different actors of the industry, the story of our research, our questions, our field preparation, our field experience, where and with whom we shared the research. This storytelling is an attempt at a reflexive approach to research, and it can be an eye-opener for new researches in discussing the creative industries, especially the music industry, at the intersection of cultural political economy and cultural policy. As a researcher, what we have learned in this process has also led us to new questions and phenomena for creative industry and cultural policy studies.
