Turkey is recently facing a deep economic crisis and rapidly increasing house prices, resulting in a severe dwelling problem. In this environment, what do womxn experience? What are their particular modalities of dwelling –or undwelling– and what do these modalities show about Turkey’s social climate? From a feminist perspective, how do we approach dwelling, and how can we problematize the current situation? In this article, I elaborate on these questions and provide a discussion through the narratives of womxn who participated in two workshops I conducted with the invitation of the feminist organization Mor Dayanışma (Purple Solidarity). With this discussion, I aim to chart Turkey’s contemporary situation from the eyes of womxn and highlight new research topics to sow the seeds of new feminist struggles.
