“The Mist of War” is a concept that has been used since Clausewitz to describe the uncertainty faced in war due to lack of information and inaccuracy of intelligence. Clausewitz sees Mist of War as one of the factors that increases friction and hinders the rational conduct of the war effort. In contemporary Hybrid Wars, the combination of Conventional and Political Warfare is causing a new condition: as defined in this study, the Mist of Hybrid War emerges as a result of Knowledge Space Operations carried out as part of Political Warfare and harms the exposed public’s relationship with reality. In this study, the concept of the Mist of Hybrid War will be defined, and its dynamics and consequences will be discussed through the tools of cognitive psychology.
